Big Bore VESLA.5 Transmission Case [KVS206]
The VESLA Big Bore Transmission is the no-compromise upgrade for the highest power builds. To accommodate for the power of brushless and big bore gas builds this case features the following benefits:
- Massive idle gear for improved strength
- Precise billet machined transmission halves
- Compatible with both Gas and Electric VESLA models.
Included with this upgrade:
- Machined aluminum transmission case
- Idle gear bearings
- Hardware
- Spacer for Electric build
- Shaft sleeve
To complete this case you will need to purchase separately:
- Big Bore Hardened Gear set for VESLA KVS220
- A layshaft suitable for your application
Layshaft Options:
Depending on your gear setup and power system you will need to purchase the correct layshaft. For a GAS build you will want to choose from the following:
- KVS163 Slipper Eliminator; lightest weight direct drive system. Uses the factory Kraken brand of gear
- KVS161 Gas Big Bore Layshaft; this is used for a slipper clutch setup for the Kraken brand of gear
- TAY5121 Taylor RC Blackbone Gas Layshaft; this gives you the option for using Blackbone optional gear sets.
For an ELECTRIC build you will want to choose from the following:
- KVS164 Slipper Eliminator; lightest weight direct drive system. Uses factory Kraken brand of gears
- KVS146 Electric Big Bore Layshaft; this is used for a slipper clutch setup for the Kraken brand of gear
- BBR5126 Taylor RC Blackbone Electric Layshaft; this gives you the option for using Blackbone optional gear sets
Note: It is highly recommended that you use the hardened gears only. If you already have the standard transmission case hardened gear set you only need to purchase the KVS213 Big Bore idle gear

IMPORTANT: For your exhaust pipe to clear the transmission case for smaller bore engines, you’d need a curved-up exhaust header like the Taylor RC Exhaust pipe: TAY5160
